Frank M. Williamson is an artist, presumably British, who drew a comic about a mischievous monkey in 1923. The strip's genre and cast shows a resemblance to Benjamin Rabier's 'Gédéon'. It was at least published as 'De Avonturen van Heer Aap' in Dutch local newspaper De Zaanlander before World War II. The paper also published a book collecting the episodes, in which the young readers were encouraged to color the drawings themselves.
