Jay Wright was born in Nottingham and later resided in Bristol, UK. He is a graduate in Illustration from the UWE Bristol. He is the author of the semi-autobiographical comic/picture book 'The Lonely Matador', published by Centrala publishing, Poland. It was the winner of the Ligatura comic festival, and third prize winner of Macmillan Children's Book prize 2011.
