Erdil Yaşaroğlu was born in Istanbul, Turkey, in 1971. He studied sculpting at the Mimar Sinan Academy of Fine Arts. When he was still young, he already made caricatures, and he started drawing them professionally at the age of nineteen. He got a job at comics magazine LeMan, where he worked for twelve years. In 2002, he co-founded Penguen magazine, together with four ex-colleagues from LeMan.
Erdil Yaşaroğlu has published eight bestseller cartoon books from his 'Komikaze' series, which appears in Penguen.
