Dean Yeagle is an American animator and cartoonist. He began his career in a small animation studio in Philadelphia, before serving in the Navy for four years during the Vietnam war. He later worked for Jack Zander's Animation Parlour in New York, until he started freelancing and founding his own studios, Caged Beagle Productions in 1986. Yeagle and his company have done commercial projects for among others Blue Sky Studios, Hanna-Barbera, MGM, Nestle, Playboy, Proctor & Gamble, Walt Disney Productions and Warner Bros.
'The Muppets Take Manhattan', #1.
As a comic artist, Yeagle has illustrated the 'The Muppets Take Manhattan' comic book adaptation for Marvel's Star Comics imprint (1984-85), based on Jim Henson's franchise of the same name. Yeagle also designed the 2004 Indiana Jones parody 'The Adventures of Harry Johnson' for Fulp Fiction, drawn by Craig Rousseau and colored by Norman Lee. Yeagle drew cartoons for Hugh Hefner's Playboy Magazine, among others with the character 'Mandy'.
