This highly-structured explosion of madness, satire and epic adventure takes all of Griffith's favorite pop culture themes — Ernie Bushmiller, junk food, commercial "cute," beatniks, cubism, modern Japan, Jean-Paul Sartre, Laundromats, '70s fashion, and Jack Palance — to their outer limits.
