Francisco Agrás began his career in the second half of the 1960s with artwork for collections like 'Hazañas del Oeste', 'Jerónimo' and 'Interestelar 3.000' by the publishers Toray and Galaor. In the 1970s, he turned to horror and science fiction, with artwork for Macabro (Ediciones Ursus) and Dossier Negro (Ibero Mundial). His artwork also appeared in the horror collections 'Hallucinations' and 'Clameurs' by the French publishing house Arédit during this peroid. These series contained comic adaptations of horror novels from the Angoisse collection of Éditions Fleuve Noir.

After contributions to Sargento Kirk by Editorial Norma, Agrás made a great many comics about the history of Spain and its cities with scriptwriter Jorge Alonso for the publishers Roasa and Genil from Grenada during the 1980s.
