Lonnie Allen was born in South Korea but became an American citizen while still in his infancy. He has mostly self-published mini-comics such as 'Quickies', 'The Cheerleader and Other Stories', 'Tell Tale Signs', and 'GEN ERIC'. 'Tell Tale Signs' was a mini-comic made entirely from sign iconography. He has also had stories published in anthologies such as 'SPX' and 'Potlatch'. He is member of Squid Works, a Denver comic cooperative and a contestant in the Daily Grind Iron Man Challenge. His art and writing style vary from story to story, often purposefully so, as in his webcomic, 'Lone Star State' which uses varying art styles to portray different first person's perspective. Lonnie's work is occasionally politically saturated as in his short story 'War: Instruction Manual' and his webcomic 'The Navel Gazer', but more in the vein of satirical storytelling, rather than the more common editorial style cartoons.
