AlvarOrtega is a Spanish artist who works in the Clear Line style. His earliest works appeared in Habeko Mik, La Comictiva, Bitniks and El Pequeño Pais. He has participated in collective projects like 'Los Felices 85' (1985) and '15 a la Vez' (1986), as well as Embero, Revista de la Imagen. He also became a regular artist for TMEO.
In the late 1980s, he settled in Madrid, where he began illustrating for several magazines. He also began doing comics in Totem, El Pais, El Mundo, El Diario Vasco and Playboy. Starting in 1990, Ikusager publishes his main series 'Los Arquitectos', which is also printed in France by Soleil ('Les Architectes'). Since February 2005, he does a daily cartoon for the free paper Qué.
