'Marmittone'.

Bruno Angoletta was an illustrator for various Italian magazines before he turned to comics in the late 1920s. He created three series for Corriere dei Piccoli: 'Marmittone' (1928), 'Calogero Sorbara' (1930) and 'Centerbe Ermete' (1934). In 1935, he was present in Il Ballila, where he created 'Romolino e Romoletta', a propaganda comic for the Italian army. In Il Guerino, he also created comics where he ridiculed the Anglo-Saxon culture and caricatured most famous American superheroes. In 1945, he left the comics field and returned to illustrating.
