Don Asmussen is a cartoonist who has worked for magazines such as Time, George and the San Francisco Chronicle. For the latter, he created 'The San Francisco Comic Strip', which originated in the San Francisco Chronicle, which featured many alternative comics. For the Chronicle, he also came up with the strip 'Bad Reporter'. Another, less political strip Asmussen made is 'Super Average Joe'. Don Asmussen also works in animation, and created the popular 'Like, News' for MondoMedia. He passed away from brain cancer in 2021.
