Mahmud Anjum Asrar is a Turkish comic book artist, who works for the American market. Born in Ankara to an Austrian mother and a Pakistani father, he majored in Fine Arts and Graphics from Hacettepe University and Anatolian University.
He contributed to the independent 'Digital Webring Presents' anthology in 2002 and was then hired by Image Comics to work on the monthly 'Dynamo 5' title. He has also worked on the Image title 'Small Gods'. Asrar has also done work for Marvel ('She-Hulk: Cosmic Collision', 'War of Kings', 'Thunderbolts') and he has done the 'Brightest Day: Aatom' one-shot with Jeff Lemire for DC Comics.
