Andres C. Audiffred is one the classic Mexican comic artists. To make more money, Audiffred moved to the USA, where he became an artist for The San Antonio Express in 1911. After his return to Mexico, Audiffred became a caricaturist for such magazines as El Universal and El Universal Gráfico.

He created the comic 'Lipa el Chino' for El Heraldo Ilustrado. He used the pseudonym Pipin to create 'Aventuras de Pipiri' in the juvenile pages of Zig-Zag. For El Universal he created his best known comic series: 'El Señor Pestaña' and 'Chom Prieto'. He also created 'Don Lupito' for Argos magazine.
