Cecilin y Coti ( Pionero #4, 1980)
Cecilio Avilés Montalvo is a Cuban comic author, painter, sculptor, musician and a scriptwriter for animation films. Born in Cumanayagua, Cienfuegos, Cecilio is best known for creating the comic series 'Cecilín y Coti', 'Marabú' and 'Yami', that were printed in magazines like Pionero and Cómicos in the 1980s and 1990s. He is also the author of a couple of books on Cuban comics, including 'Historietas. Reflexiones y proyecciones' (1989) and 'Historieta Cubana' (1990).
