Heiner Bade was born in Germany, but lives and works in Sweden as an artist for the 'Fantomen' series. Bade attended the Art School since the age of 17, and began his career drawing cartoons for local papers in Germany, and later Neue Revue magazine. In the 1970s he moved to Sweden, where he worked for comic magazines Poäng and En Rolig Halvtimme. In 1974 he began a collaboration with Semic Press, making 'Gengångaren' for Serie-Magasinet, followed by a long career drawing 'Fantomen'.
