Jesús Balbi is a talented, though largely forgotten Argentinian comic artist. He has mainly worked on independent one-shot comic stories, and no serials. He was a pupil of Alberto Breccia at the Pan-American School of Art in the 1960s, together with Ruben Sosa, Leopoldo Durañona, José Muñoz and Jorge Moliterni.

He has contributed art to the 'Ernie Pike' series (scripts by Oesterheld) and to publishing companies like Frontera, Record, Columba and Cielo Sur (Top magazine). His work has appeared in magazines like Top and Skorpio in Italy. By the 1980s he was working for the Jaime Diaz animation studios on US productions like 'Wildfire'.
