Pilarín Bayés i de Luna was born in 1941 in Vic (Osona) and attended the Sant Jordi School of Fine Arts in Barcelona from 1959 to 1964. Her drawings, which she signs with Pilarín, have appeared in publications like Cavall Fort and several educational books. Although most of her output was for children, she has also drawn caricatures for magazines like El Correo Catalán, Oriflama and El 9 Nou. Pilarin is also occasionally active as a sculptor.
