Living in Barcelona after his civil service, Angel Beaumont made his professional debut in illustration. After working mainly for the female press, Beaumont started making comics in the 1950s for several publishers. From 1957 he worked on the artwork of the 'Capitan Trueno' series, along with fellow artist Ambros.
In the 1960s he specialized in short stories and started several series, published mainly in "ob-long" sized books ('Zoltan y Cingaro'). In the late 1960s, he had to limit his activities, due to cancer. In the 1970s he returned with several comic adaptations of television series for Editorial Fher.
