When Béja began studying Fine Arts, he already illustrtated for the press. He then devoted his time to comics, publishing regularly in Métal Hurlant. At Casterman publishers, he produced albums as 'Nolime Tangere', 'Le Poids de l'Ombre' and the 'Les Griffes du Hasard' series.
