Mika Mis
Vlastimir (Vlasta) Belkic was a pioneer in Eastern European comics. Born in Belgrade, he was the creator of the pulp detective 'Hari Vilsa', whose adventures appeared in Nedelja, starting in 1935. It was the first original comic character in Serbian and Yugoslav newspapers. Belkic was also one of the original artists of the Yugoslav version of Mickey Mouse (Mika Miš). He made covers for the publication, as well as several stories featuring Disney's characters Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck, around 1936.
