'Ego Sum'. 

Simone Bianchi was born in 1972 in Lucca, where he still lives and works. At the age of fifteen, he published humorous comic strips in the daily newspaper Il Tirreno and worked as a cartoonist for several regional and national publications. He started working as a comic book artist in the mid-1990s. Under the guidance of Claudio Castellini, he drew the first issues of 'Nembo' for Phoenix of Bologna, and 'Rivan Ryan' for Comic Art of Rome. He also worked on the series 'Brendon' for Sergio Bonelli Editore.

In the late 1990s, Bianchi made a one-shot of 'Conan il Barbaro' for Marvel Italia. He also makes cover art for record companies and works as a teacher at the Scuola Internazionale di Comics in Florence. Bianchi has done character design and storyboards for the leading 3-D digital-video production studio Direct To Brain. By 2003, he set up the sci-fi saga 'Ego Sum', released the following year in France, Canada, Switzerland, Luxembourg and Italy by Vittorio Pavesio.

In 2005, Bianchi was assigned by DC to illustrate the mini series 'Shining Knight', written by Grant Morrison. Following that, he made cover art for several DC titles, as well as interiors for 'Green Lantern'. While continuing to do DC cover art, he also works on Marvel titles like 'Wolverine' and 'Astonishing X-Men'.
