'Snuf en de Grollenburgers'. 

Gustaaf Constant Boissevain, who used the pseudonym Gub, was born in Hilversum. He is best known as the artist of 'Piet Pelle' advertising comics for bicycle factory Gazelle that appeared in the 1950s, featuring the character created by Ko Doncker in 1912. For Libelle, he made 'Snuf en de Grollenburgers' in 1951.

Boissevain's characters 'Bliep en Barthold' appeared in the magazines Kris Kras (1965) and Eva (1970). For Televizier, he produced 'Het Mysterie van Studio X en de Televiezerik' (1958 onwards) and 'Vlugge Wilem de Televiezerik' (around 1960). Boissevain contributed to the comics issue of Ratio magazine (1964) and was also present in the Dutch version of Mad Magazine. He was additionally an artist for advertising campaigns, among others in 1965 for Zaanhagel by Cacao de Zaan. In later years, Boissevain was mainly active painting and etching. He was the father of actor Daniël Boissevain.
