Gaspar Bolaños began illustrating for Mundial magazine to earn some money for his familly after the death of his father. Fellow artist German Butze convinced him to make comics, which resulted in 'Rolando el Rabioso', a children's comic series well appreciated by several generations. The popularity of the series resulted in a Mexican petrol company using the character for one of their campains. Gaspar Bolaños drew the comic until his death in 1972.
