Abdel Bouzbiba, who is also known as Abdel De Bruxelles, was born in 1973 in Morocco. He grew up in the South and France and eventually settled in Brussels, Belgium. He made his debut as a comic artist in 2007 with 'Avril - Football, Sortilèges et Puberté', a book written by Antoine Dodé and published by Éditions Carabas. Bouzbila and Dodé also cooperated in the trilogy 'Magic Kino' (Vide Cocagne, 2011-12). He then worked with writer Fabien Grolleau on the fantasy comic 'Dum' at Grolleau's label Vide Cocagne. De Bruxelles has additionally participated in several group projects and magazines. He is founding member of the Brussels indie comic festival Cultures Maison.
