'Our Boarding House', 1969.
James P. Branagan, also known as Jim Branagan, was an American cartoonist. He was Bill Freyse's assistant on 'Our Boarding' house, a classic newspaper comic created by Gene Ahern in 1921 and syndicated by the Newspaper Enterprise Association. When Freyse died in 1969, Branagan solely continued the Sunday comic and daily panel with writer Tom McCormick until 1971, after which Les Carroll took over the artwork.
