Antonio Burattini, who signed with Buriko, was from Toscane. He was a staff artist of the publishing house Nerbini. He drew for the early issues of the Italian Disney magazine Topolino in 1932 and 1933.
He drew some of the first (unofficial) Italian 'Mickey Mouse' one-pagers, as well as the cover strip, for which he created the character 'Pisellino'. 'Pisellino' was continued in Pinoccho in 1938, and the character had its own weekly magazine from 1939 to 1941.
