Andrea Cascioli initially pursued a career in the world of music and radio, which lasted from 1980 to 1992. He then took on his early passion of drawing again and presented his work to the publishing houses Bonelli and Marvel. He eventually joined Bonelli, where he did the artwork of the first 'Nathan Never' graphic novel ('Terra') in 1995. He then became an artist of the regular series.
