Ubaldo Ceballos López is a Cuban comic artist, painter and book illustrator, born in Palmira, Cienfuegos. He was an artist of realistic adventure comics, starting with the feature 'Juan Montes el Guerrillero' in Mella 61. This comic was later continued by Alfredo Calvo. He was also one of the original contributors to the comic magazine Pionero in 1961, with mainly 'Zorro' stories in cooperation with scriptwriter Fidel Morales Vega. He later turned to illustrating books for Editorial Gente Nueva. In the 1980s, he drew the comic 'De Mortius' for Enigma.
