Robyn Chapman was born and raised in Alaska and studied at the Savannah College of Art and Design. She has worked as an independent artist, publisher and printer of comics ('Sourpuss', 'Matching Jackets' and zines (Hey, 4-Eyes). In 2000, she received a Xeric Grant for her first comic, 'Theater of the Meek'. Her work has been featured in anthologies and publications like 'Scheherazade', 'Stuck in the Middle' and the New York Metro newspaper. With Kelli Nelson, she co-edited the 'True Porn' comic anthologies. She is a faculty member at the Center for Cartoon Studies.
