David Clark has been a freelance illustrator and cartoonist for newspapers, magazines and books since the 1990s. Clark has earned several illustration awards including the National Cartoonists Society's Newspaper Illustration Reuben Award in 1996. He is the artist of the newspaper comic 'Barney and Clyde', written by Gene and Dan Weingarten and syndicated by The Washington Post Writers Group. The strip about the unlikely friendship between a billionaire and a homeless man, started in June 2010.
