Hortensia, by Alberto Cognigni

Alberto Pio Cognigni is an Argentinian humorist and comic artist. Born in Belle Ville in the Córdoba area, he began working as a topical cartoonist at a very young age, starting with the section 'El Tema del Día' for his local newspaper. After seven years, he joined La Voz del Interior, for which he created 'Así' and 'Campo Afuera'. He launched the humorous magazine Hortensia in 1971. Among the contributors to this magazine were Crist, Fontanarosa, Jimenes, Broccoli and Caloi. Between 1973 and 1974, the publisher Siglo XXI published two book collections of work printed in the magazine.

The characters Negrazón and Chaveta have a statue in Buenos Aires, as part of the 'Paseo de la Historieta' ('Comics Walk'), located in the Juana Manzo and Marta Linch street.
