Tony Cronstam began his career as an illustrator for role-playing games for Target Games in the 1980s. His first cartoons strip was 'Provet' (1990), published in Svenska Serier. In 1990, he became one of the illustrators of 'Bamse', and kept working on the strip and the magazine until 2001.

Cronstam is creator of the semi-autobiographical funny animal strip 'Elvis', together with Maria Cronstam. It appears in the free daily newspaper Metro since 2000.
