'The Six Feelings', published in Talasum.
Georgi Danchov was a late 19th-century, early 20th-century Bulgarian illustrator. He was most likely the first known artist in Bulgaria to use the comics format. He was born on 27 July 1846 in Chirpan city. He was mainly a painter of religious art - at the early age of 12 he drew 200 consecutive drawings of wonders from the lifes of saints. He made illustrations for Bulgarian textbooks and made over 50 oil portraits. By 1890, Danchov contributed to the weekly caricature magazine Talasum. For this magazine that he created a comic strip called (in translation) 'The Six Feelings'. Danchov also worked as photographer and lithographer and passed away in Sofia in February 1908.
