Comic strip by Lubin De Beauvais. 

Lubin De Beauvais was a painter of sanguines and watercolors, and the illustrator of work by Choderlos de Laclos and Alfred de Musset, as well as children's books. He illustrated picture stories for the Imagerie Quantin in the style of the Images d'Épinal, and made comics for Le Petit Journal Illustré de la Jeunesse (1905) and the Offenstadt magazines Fillette ('La Fiancée du Chevalier', 1910) and L'Épatant ('Le Pari du Milliardaire' in 1911, 'Le Prince Rouge' in 1914). He also drew for La Baïonnette, Le Courrier Français, Le Rire, La Libre Parole illustrée and La Vie Parisienne, and was known for his drawings for sheet music and postcards. He also worked under the pen name Gabriel De Laumont.
