Adriano de Vincentiis was born in Teramo. After attending an art school in his region, he published his first graphic novel 'Koshka' in 1993. It was published in several countries, and in Heavy Metal Magazine. He then went to work in the movie industry, and worked as a storyboard artist for Dreamworks in Los Angeles and for Tsui Hark in Hong Kong. He returned to comics with the series 'Sophia', which he created with Massiomo Visavi for the French publisher Paquet.
