'Jacques Gipar'.

Jean-Luc Delvaux specialized in drawing backgrounds and cars, preferably in a 1950s or 1960s setting. He presented his work to publisher Claude Lefrancq, who introduced him to scriptwriter Michel Oleffe. This encounter resulted in the comic series 'Le Marquis', that appeared between 1995 and 1997. He additionally joined Jean Graton's studios, where he worked on the 'Michel Vaillant' comic.

In 1999, Delvaux published his comic 'L'Abel Occase' in magazine Rétromania, and became a regular contributor to magazine Gazoline. He made the monthly comic 'Gazafond' and filled the section 'L'Automobile Racontée Aux Enfants'. Since 2010, he additionally makes the retro comic 'Jacques Gipar' with Thierry Dubois for the publishing house Paquet. 

Delvaux is married to children's book writer Nancy Delvaux, who is active as artist and colorist of the comic series 'Jo et Moi', scripted by the couple's daughter Léa Delvaux. Nancy also draws and colorizes 'Léo la Terreur', scripted by Benou.
