Face of Death, by Jay Disbrow 1953

After studying commercial art, Jay Disbrow became a staff artist at the Iger studios in 1950. There, he worked on such titles as 'Sheena, Queen of the Jungle', 'Kanga' and 'Firehair'. He then became a freelance comics artist at Star Publications, and he also began writing his own work. He worked on a variety of titles, such as 'Spook suspence Mystery' and 'Eerie Tales', while also exploiting other artistic activities. He has also worked for the 'Classics Illustrated' special collection 'The World Around Us'. In recent years, he launched his web comic 'Aroc of Zenith'.
