'Ljuba Truba'.

Milorad Dobrić was a cartoonist and comic artist from Belgrade. He studied architecture but his beloved hobby was cartooning. It became his profession in 1945. He was strongly influenced by Louis Forton's 'Les Pieds Nickeles'. In 1950, Dobric got a job as political cartoonist in the humor weekly Jez in Belgrade. Very soon he became one of the top cartoonists in his field in Yugoslavia.

'Ljuba Truba'.

Dobric wrote and illustrated his first published comic book in 1951: 'Veliki Turnir' ('The Big Rivalry'). In 1952, his 'Pera Pesak' became a very popular comic strip and in 1954, Dobrić created the pantomime gag strip 'Ljuba Truba'. Later work by Dobric includes the daily comic strip 'Kurir Fica' and the two very successful comic strips 'Slavuj Glisa' and 'Inspektor Zuca'.
