Comic by Frank Emery.
Frank Emery graduated with an art degree from Massachusetts College of Art and Design (known as MassArt), where he was described as a free spirit, traveling extensively before, during and after. During his studies, Frank made a comic strip for the MassArt Daily Collegian called '4'. He played trumpet and saxophone in countless clubs, and painted murals from Massachusetts to California, down to South America and back again. He spent years in Europe doing photography, animation, illustration and many more murals, biking, hiking, mountain climbing, loving life and charming everyone who met him.

Frank Emery was a budding artist who painted the lofty mural that adorned the ceiling of the old Lambiek comic store at Kerkstraat 78, for which we are eternal lygrateful. Frank lived as a squatter in the famous Vrankrijk building in Amsterdam, and was a graphic designer for this movement for a while. He died too young, only 37 years old, and is missed by many who were lucky enough to have known him.
