Pedro Espinosa did his first comics for fanzines and local publications in his native Logroño. One of them was the historical work 'El Sitio de Logroño', published in 1982. After that he made his way to Toutain monthly magazines 1984 and Cómix Internacional. He published his silent series 'Loco' in the latter between 1983 and 1984. It was compiled in book format by Astiberri much later, in 2005.
Performing mime, the leading role of 'Loco' showed his concerns about such subjects as politics, society and family. In the mid 1980s Espinosa contributed 'El Gulípago' to Cimoc. Other magazines he contributed to were Cairo, Más Madera, Butifarra and El Jueves. Teaming up with scriptwriter Antoni Guiral and artist Jordi Sempere he participated in the ecological 'Los Trotabosques', published by Ikusager in 1991. Espinosa also published humorous work in newspapers like Avui and Diari de Barcelona. In the 1990s Pedro Espinosa settled down to his work as an illustrator and caricaturist.
