'Captain Mason R.N'. (from The Pink Floyd Super All-Action Official Music Programma For Boys And Girls!, 1974-1975).
Richard Evans is a British designer and illustrator, who is known for making designs and album covers for musical acts since the 1970s. He studied fashion design at Nottingham School of Art and graphic design at Leicester College of art. In the 1970s, he was affiliated with the London-based art design group Hipgnosis headed by Storm Thorgerson and Aubrey Powell. He has worked extensively for rock band The Who and its individual members since 1976, but also for The Doors, Public Image Limited, Nik Kershaw, Robert Plant, Pink Floyd, Paul McCartney, Deep Purple, World Party, Bill Wyman, Louis Armstrong and Van Morrison.
Evans was the artist of the installment about drummer Nick Mason in the comic book that came with Pink Floyd's 1974-1975 tour. The stories about Roger Waters and David Gilmour were probably drawn by Colin Elgie and Dave Gale; the feature about Richard Wright was drawn by Joe Petagno, the centerfold by Gerald Scarfe and the cover was by Paul Stubbs.
