Fernand Fau is a French illustrator active during the second half of the 19th century. He was born in Poitiers in 1858. His work appeared among others in Chat Noir, the magazine of the literary cabaret that started in 1883. He has also published in Le Rire and drew for the picture story prints of the Imagerie Quantin in Paris. He has illustrated a lot of children's books throughout his career. Fau died in Paris in 1919.
