Fernand Fau was a late 19th- and early 20th-century French illustrator. He was born in 1858 in Poitiers. His work appeared among others in Chat Noir. He has also published in Le Rire and drew for the picture story prints of the Imagerie Quantin in Paris. Fau illustrated a lot of children's books throughout his career. He died in 1919 in Paris.
