Born in Genoa, Andrea Ferraris studied at the Scuola Nouva Eloisa in Bologna, and began his career in the late 1980s working for Treviso Comics. In the early 1990s, he attended the Disney Academy, under the supervision of Giorgio Cavazzano.
He has been doing art on stories for Disney Italia since 1993, initially working mainly on 'Mickey Mouse' stories, but eventually also on stories with the Ducks. Since 2008 he also works on Disney comics for Egmont in Denmark.
