Giuseppe Festino was born in Castellammare di Stabia, and has lived in Verbania and Domodossala during his childhood. He worked at the Roy D'Ami studios, while attending the Academy of Brera. His first jobs included illustrations for some small publishers and advertising agencies. During the 1970s, he contributed to fanzines like Vox Futura and Alternativa. From 1976, he did covers and black-and-white interiors for the Robot review. During the 1980s, he illustrated covers for Urania of Mondadori publishers. He has cooperated with varying publishers, and his work has been exhibited throughout Europe.
