Leonard Frank was one of the many artists who worked on 'Captain Midnight', written by Otto O. Binder. Other artists were Clem Weis-Becker, Lincoln Cross, and Al Bare. The 'Captain Midnight'-character was originally created by radio writers Willfred Moore and Robert Murit in a radio-show in 1940. The Captain appeared first in comic form in 1941, published by Dell. In June 1942 this was taken over by Fawcett Comics, which made 'Captain Midnight' a major comic book feature. It ran until September 1948, when the need to fight German and Japanese enemies was no longer of any necessity.
