Oggy et les cafards
Sylvain Frécon is a French illustrator, comic artist and comic colorist, who also works under the pen name Frévin. He was born in Bourges in 1972, and studied Applied Arts and the Émile Cohl art school in Lyon for three years. He began his career as an artist for the children's publications of Nathan, Bayard, Hatier and Hachette. He is the illustrator of the series 'Alchimia' by Sanvoisin.
He had drawn the comic 'La Piste du Tigre' by commission of Timbropresse in 1999, and subsequently worked as a colorist for several series at Bamboo Éditions. As Frévin, he made the first two books in the humorous series 'Allez! Les Barbares' for Hugo & Cie in 2007 and 2008, and 'Tout sur Ségo' at Soleil (2007). This was followed by an adaptation of the animation series 'Oggy et les cafards' with Diego Aranega for Dargaud (2010-11) and 'La petite Bibliothèque Grinçante' with Catherine Siguret at Chiflet & Cie (2011).
