Walter Frehm was an American comic book artist and newspaper cartoonist. He was born in 1912 in New York City and got his art education from the Pratt Institute. He worked with Will Gould on 'Red Barry' and ghosted Ken Kling's 'Joe and Asbestos' strip for a while. Between 1939 and 1941, he was also active for the comic books published by Fox Comics as Walter Frame. He created 'The Green Mask' for titles like Mystery Men Comics and The Green Mask.
Frehm joined King Features Syndicate in 1958, where he worked as an editor at the comics department. He also joined his brother Paul in drawing the 'Ripley's Believe It Or Not' newspaper feature. He continued the feature on his own from 1978 until 1989.
