comic art by J.L. Galiano

José Luis Galiano was born in La Rioja and studied fine arts in Barcelona. After working as a draughtsman in advertising and other fields, he took up comics. At the very end of 1983 he started the series 'Internas' in the 50th issue of El Víbora. 'Internas' was written by Alfredo Pons and his wife Marta Guerrero and told some perverse stories about a group of teeny-bopper schoolgirls in a 'respectable' boarding school girl. The trio of authors went on to serialize the adventures of Sarita, one of the girls after her school days, in the serials 'Sarita', 'Lumis' and 'Cómplices'.
