Paddock - 'Les Coulisses de la F1'.
Jean-Louis Garcia worked in the animation industry for twenty years before he turned to creating comics, which he has mainly done for Vents d'Ouest. He was the assistant of Ptiluc on the comic series 'Rat's' at Les Humanoïdes Associés from 1999 to 2009. He then assumed the pen name "Juan" and teamed up with scriptwriter Jim to create the humor albums 'Le Désir' (2005) and 'Le Bébé' (2006) for Vents d'Ouest. With writer Pat Perna, he then started the Formula 1 humor comic 'Paddock - Les Coulisses de la F1' (2008-2012) as well as 'Mon tour du monde en 4L' (2015).
Le Guide des Chats
With scriptwriter Fane he has made 'Une désastreuse aventure de Abe et Lagribouille' (12bis, 2010), about two comic artists who are sucked into their pages and have to face their own creations. Published as 'La Légende de Little Boost' with the Vents d'Ouest reprint, the book won the Éléphant d'Or at the Chambéry Comcis Festival of 2011. Juan has also illustrated the volumes 'Le Guide des Mômes' (with Christian Godard, 2011) and 'Le Guide des Chats' (with Jacky Goupil, 2012) in the series of humorous guidebooks published by Vents d'Ouest.
