Bob Kent, by Giuliano Giovetti

Born in Spilamberto, Giuliano Giovetti made his debut by contributing to humorous papers like La Ghirlandina and Marc'Aurelio. In addition to working as a painter, he commenced working as an illustrator for Rizzoli and Mondadori from 1957. He illustrated several episodes of 'Zorro' for Disney from 1969 to 1971. He contributed to the Amica review, and collaborated with Universo and LancioStory magazine from 1975. In Tuttosport, he began the comic series 'Calcio Amarcord', followed by 'Il Gioco di Calcio'. Continuing to work as a sports comic artist, he began the series 'Bob Kent' in Il Giornalino in 1978 and was a longtime contributor to La Gazzetta dello Sport.
